They say a tidy home equals a tidy mind and I think this goes for design too. You can even do maximalist and keep it feeling tidy. These are a few photos of some of the rooms in my own homes over the years. I like to think the colour palette is always complimentary without being boring. Also..don’t be afraid to bring a bit of colour into your home!

After becoming a first time buyer in 2016, all it took was a better use of space and a lick of paint to turn my dated ex council house into a contemporary home. As money was tight, I spent very little yet doubled my initial house deposit when I sold the house less than 18 months later. In my next home, after doing a similar, low cost makeover, my initial deposit had tripled. I’d turned £7000 into £28,000 just by doing something I enjoyed. I realised I had a talent for something I love.
